Our Otherselves

Thanks to Facebook, and my high-school friend Jessica Schwieterman,
I was able to grab this vintage pic of the band I was in back home in
St. Louis. Our name was "My Other Self," and we played in and around
town, back in the early 90's. Dare I say "Rave Energy?" Well, we had it.
We even traveled to the then called "New Music Seminar" in NYC (which is now
called the electronic music conference or something along those lines.)
Before I moved to L.A., we went to San Francisco to record with the Hardkiss label.
I had a blast with my friends back then, one in particular is still
in my life. Lance Rock, who is now DJ Lance Rock of Yo Gabba Gabba
fame. We both moved to Los Angeles about 2 years apart from each other,
and worked in separate bands, but managed to stay in contact. I'm so
proud of him for becoming such a huge Pop-cultural icon figure of our time
and for bringing so much love and happiness to kids and families all over
the world. Amaze!

My son knows him as Uncle Lance, and he still can't wrap his head around
the fact that sometimes he is on tv and then other times he's riding in our car.

We went to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live last Sunday, and it was magical! My heart was smiling
the entire time! I got super emotional and proud for our buddy Lance!
Have fun on tour Uncle Lance! We love you!

The husbie looks hard here. "Hard"
as in, "hardly" any coffee and it's
am I going to make it through this?

It was early in the am for Bowie. This little 2 year old teenager
prefers sleeping until noon, just like his Daddy.

Dj Lance Glasses for everyone!

After Biz' beat of the day with Snoop Dog, Brobee flying
away with balloons was my fave part!

Say hello to goodbye

R.I.P. 20 year old Daul Kim.
Rad model, style icon, and blogger.
She had a cool blog

She posted this on her blog a few days ago, and it really puts things into perspective.

Love your family and friends and be of service to them and yourself.
